<p>Arlene Mae Parkinson Alexander, 89 of Hickory, Mt. Pleasant Township, left us to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2025 in her home.</p><p><br></p><p>Arlene was born on January 4, 1936 in Midway, a daughter of the late Clarence Cornelius and Josephine Catherine Garron Parkinson.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker all her life and a member of Midway Baptist Church. She loved serving the Lord by giving of her time and tallents to others. One of the outreaches near and dear to her heart was her time spent with the ladies at the Connected Threads Group. As part of this group, Arlene used her talent of knitting afghans and more to support a local women's shelter and crisis pregnancy center. Arlene also loved animals of all kinds, she was also an avid reader. Her favorite book, the Bible. Arlene loved Jesus and she dedicated her life to her faith.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are her children, Shelby Koraido, Timothy (Lisa) Alexander, and Edward (Lesley) Alexander, grandchildren, Benjamin Fedorski and E.J. Alexander and sisters-in-law, Gail Parkinson and Darlene Parkinson.</p><p><br></p><p>Along with her parents, Arlene is preceded in death by her loving husband, Emile E. Alexander and siblings, Ralph Parkinson, Lloyd "Buck" Parkinson, Jeanette Yanosky and Roy Parkinson.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind, 1039 S. Rochester Rd. Rochester Hills, MI 48307.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family will be received on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 106 St. John St., Midway (724-796-3301). A private burial will be held at Center Cemetery.</p>
