Peter McDonagh
<p>McDonagh, Peter, 84, of Wayne, NJ, passed away on January 29, 2025. Born in Poole, England, Peter came to States to New York City and worked for S.B Thomas Bakery in Long Island and then moved with them to Totowa, NJ. Peter also lived in Wanaque before relocating to Wayne in 1994. Prior to retirement, Peter served as the Executive Vice President of AirBrook Limousine Service in Rochelle Park. In his younger years, Peter enjoyed coaching soccer, gardening and walking his dogs. He enjoyed reading the newspaper each day, reading books, watching soccer and the NY Yankees. He also loved classic cars and collected car books and attended various local car shows. Peter was known for his dry, quick sense of humor and his love of fish and chips.</p><p><br></p><p>Peter was a loving husband to Dee (Missonellie) McDonagh for 52 years. He was the beloved father of Michael McDonagh and his wife Katie, Steven McDonagh and his husband Dan Smith, and daughter, Jacqueline Palen. Peter was a loving grandfather to Madison, Michael, and Nathaniel. Sadly predeceased by his grandsons Rowan and Clark.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial visitation will take place at the Vander Plaat – Vermeulen Memorial Home, located at 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 11 to 2 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 2 PM.</p><p><br></p><p>Please note that the family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's memory to Wayne Township Memorial First Aid Inc, PO Box 2004, Wayne, NJ 07474.
