<p>It is with sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Brian Kent.</p><p><br></p><p>On the evening of January 27, 2025 Brian passed away surrounded by his loving family. Brian was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered fondly and deeply missed.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in Brattleboro on April 20, 1947 to George and Mary Kent, Brian attended Saint Michael's School alongside his beloved sister Judie (Kent) Norcia. It is here that his kind and amiable nature built friendships and an enthusiasm for sports that would endure throughout his life.</p><p><br></p><p>As a young adult Brian began work at the Book Press where he met Deborah who would become his loving and dedicated wife. Together they brought up three children in a caring and supportive home. As a father Brian emphasized the importance of kindness, hard work and humility. Brian went on to work at Thomas Construction Company and Falvey pools.</p><p><br></p><p>Outside of his work life, Brian enjoyed time with friends watching and playing sports like football, basketball and softball. He bowled candlepin and excelled as a pool player. Later, Brian found great joy in attending his granddaughter's games and tournaments. His encouragement and support for all of his family in their endeavors and life events was unwavering. Brian's final days were spent enveloped in the love he built over a lifetime.</p><p><br></p><p>His passing is mourned deeply by those who remain: his wife Deborah (Fumagalli Lynch) Kent of West Chesterfield, N.H; his children Leonard Lynch and wife Kathryn (Howe) Lynch of Hinsdale, N.H, Noel Lynch of Brattleboro, VT, Heather (Kent) Mason and her husband David Mason of Springfield, VT; his grandchildren Samantha (Lynch) Labby and her husband Dennis Labby of Hinsdale, N.H, Hannah Lynch of Portland, ME, Mariah Mason of Portland, OR, Levi Mason of Springfield, VT and his great granddaughter Riley Jean Labby of Hinsdale, N.H, and all who were brightened by his presence.</p><p><br></p><p>Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, February 12th from 4-6 at Atamaniuk Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated February 13th at 11am at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Committal Rites and burial will be held in the spring at St. Michael's Parish Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to St. Michael's School Endowment Fund, 48 Walnut Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301.</p>
