<p>With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Marie Kostelnik (nee Grdina), a devoted Catholic, loving wife, cherished daughter, beloved sister, and adoring aunt. Linda peacefully passed away on January 26th at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and family.</p><p><br></p><p>Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas Kostelnik. She was the daughter of Marie Grdina and the late Jerome Grdina, and the sister of Jerome (Joan) Grdina, Thomas (Sue) Grdina, Richard (Cathy) Grdina, Diane (Michael) Coon, and David (Dawn) Grdina. Linda was the cherished daughter-in-law of the late Mickey and Mary Kostelnik; a caring sister-in-law to Connie (Gerry) Theobald, the late John Kostelnik, Marla Trisler, Bill (Peggy, deceased) Kostelnik, Nancy McLaughlin, Patty (Kevin) Byrnes, Carol (Tommy) Plaitano, Gail Brugh, Ken (Val) Kostelnik, and Kevin (Danyeill) Kostelnik, and the loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. </p><p><br></p><p>Linda was a pillar of kindness, love, and unity within her family and among her friends. She generously offered her time, guidance, and love to all who knew her. Linda was deeply involved in her church community, volunteering at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Geneva with the Altar and Rosary Ministry, and chairing an Alanon group in Thompson. She embodied Christ’s call to serve with grace and dignity, constantly praying for others and offering a listening ear to those in need.</p><p><br></p><p>A dedicated legal secretary, Linda worked for over 20 years for the Magistrate at the Chardon Courthouse. In her spare time, she found joy in gardening, tending to her vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Her bountiful harvest each year was a gift shared with many.</p><p><br></p><p>Linda’s unwavering faith, kind heart, and generous spirit will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby (37932 Euclid Ave), followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Fr. Michael Troha will preside.
