<p> Timothy Wayne Reece was born January 27, 1959, in Shenandoah, Iowa, the son of Robert Sterling and Phyllis (Young) Reece. He grew up on the family farm near Coin, Iowa, and graduated in 1977 from South Page High School. Tim was a proud alumnus of Iowa State University, graduating with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He worked in agribusiness in Texas, before returning to Iowa to work in finance and insurance. </p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held 2 pm Tuesday January 28, 2025, at Iles Westover Chapel the family will greet friends from 1 pm until service time. Private burial for Timothy will be held at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>Tim worked for Allied/Nationwide Insurance beginning in 1997 until his retirement in October 2022. While working for Allied, Tim met his wife, Nancy, and they married on October 6, 2001. Their marriage was blessed with twins Sophia Grace and Thomas Joseph on November 9, 2006. Tim loved and supported his children as they participated in band and chorus concerts and enjoyed listening to them recounting their day.</p><p><br></p><p>Tim was an avid horseshoe pitcher, a fan of gospel quartet music, the Los Angeles Dodgers and his Iowa State Cyclones. Before his extended illness Tim would spend his weekends watching sports, biking with Sophia and running - participating in many Dam-to-Dam races over the years. Tim was very proud that both of his children have decided to attend Iowa State University after graduation. GO CYCLONES!</p><p><br></p><p>Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy (Nosbisch) Reece, son Thomas and daughter Sophia. Tim is also survived by mother-in -law, Earlene Nosbisch; sisters: Ruth Reece and Regina (Arnold) Schultz of Omaha NE; Faith (John) Minihan of Huntington WV; Diane (Mike) Brogan of Shenandoah IA; Debbie (Robert) Albrecht of Neosho MO and Mindy (Robert) Peters of Gladbrook IA; nieces: Hannah and Abigail Minihan, April Schmitz, Amanda DeWilde, Victoria Albrecht and Katherine Peters; nephews: A.J. Schultz, John and Daniel Minihan, Adam Brogan, Andrew and Jacob Albrecht, Michael and Matthew Iverson and Henry Peters.
