Eckhart – Curtis “Curt” Anthony Yost passed peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025, surrounded by his heartbroken family—a testament to their love for him. Over the years he was the owner of Yost Wholesale Foods, Yost Market, The Art Gallery, and presently Yost Flowers (which is still in operation after over 50 years). Those who had the pleasure to know him were met with kindness, sincerity, warmth, patience, and his sharp wit. A stranger to no one, he was in his element when working with the public. He put his heart and soul into each of his businesses. No one could match his work ethic. Even in retirement he could be found working in his yard from the moment he woke up until sundown. “Pop” always cherished visits from his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was in his glory at the annual Christmas parties held at their family home each year. As the space grew smaller with the growing family, his smile grew brighter. Thank you God for allowing him to brighten our world for 90 wonderful years.

Curt leaves behind his children, Lori (Randy) Grimes, Dawna (Jeffrey) Snyder, Michael (Karla) Yost, Patricia (James) Grabenstein, Julie (William) Thorne and Joseph (Jennifer) Yost; grandchildren, Matthew (Kelly) Staup, Ryan (Katie) Staup, Brett Staup, Christopher (Kristie) Grimes, Andrea Grimes, Samantha (Will) Jones, Jonathan (Bobie) Yost, Alexander Grabenstein, Amanda (Mark) Morris, Cassie (Xander) Mulder, Bradley (Marge) Urbas, Andrew (Lindsey) Urbas, Will (Sydni) Thorne, Brooke and Sabrina Yost; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jaxon, and Henry Staup, Ayden, Carter, and Keagan Staup, Ellie Staup, Addy Grimes, Marshall Robertson, Wyatt and Owen Yost, Jane, Luke, and Ellie Morris, Teddy Mulder, Gabriel and Wyatt Urbas, Harper and Charlotte Thorne.
