<p><p>Linda Kay Hoveland, 71, passed away on January 19, 2025 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at Schott Funeral Home – Forest City, 505 N. Clark St, Forest City, IA 50436 with Doug Snyder officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>Burial will be held in Madison Township Cemetery in Forest City, Iowa.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Linda Hoveland memorial fund in care of the family, or to the donor's choice.</p><p><br></p><p>Linda was born on October 1, 1953 in Forest City, IA to parents Luther and Avis (Olson) Alm. She grew up and attended Forest City schools, graduating in 1972.</p><p><br></p><p>She went on to work at Winnebago Industries and then the Forest City Country Club many years as a cook and a waitress. She was an excellent baker and loved to bake and cook meals for people.</p><p><br></p><p>Linda married Robert Hoveland on August 2, 1987. They had 38 wonderful years together and she loved nothing more than spending time with him. She also loved spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.</p><p><br></p><p>Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert “Bob” Hoveland, of Miller; sister, Cindy (Dale) Lipp, of Nora Springs; nephews, Jake (Ashley) Lipp, of Nora Springs, Hunter and wife Katie Lipp, of Forest City; niece, Samantha (Cole) Davison, of Mason City; great nieces and nephews, Lane, Joelle, and Stetson Davison, and Walker and Beau Lipp; and step-son, Rod Hoveland, of Rockwell, IA.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Mark in 2016.</p></p>
