<p>Ruby Hunsaker Burnett, 94 of Star City, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Dalton’s Place in Star City. She was born June 25, 1930 in Monticello to the late Guy Copeland and Olivia “Levy” Creighton Hunsaker. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Star City, where she was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary and was a Sunday school teacher. She was a retired supervisor for Byrd’s Manufacturing. She loved to cook, enjoyed fishing and traveling, and loved taking care of her family.</p><p><br></p><p>Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carel Denson Burnett; daughter, Barbara Henley; 2 brothers, Ray Hunsaker and Jean Harmon; and a sister, Bonnie Graham.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include 2 sons, Ronnie (Barbara Lynn) Burnett of Lebanon, MO and Mike (Glynetta) Burnett of East End; daughter, Betty (Philip) Bitely of Star City; 2 sisters, Anna Cater of Coleman and Joyce (Jerry) Rahorn of El Dorado; 6 grandchildren, Jimbo (Tammy), John David (Lori), Angela (Joe), Jeff (Melissa), Madonna, and Mika (Raymond); 10 great-grandchildren, Rhea, Kaitlin, Jadyn, Kelsey, Havana, Sofia, Bryce, Abigail, Seth and Shelby; and 3 great great-grandchildren, Brantley, Tensley, and Lilah.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services are 2:00PM Monday January 13, 2025 at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro. Jimbo Manning and Bro. Tim Forman officiating. Visitation is 1:00-2:00PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial at Pleasant Springs Cemetery in Coleman. Pallbearers are Donald Henley, Joe Daugherty, John David Manning, Raymond Santis, Ryan Glover, and Jonathan Bobo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Parkinson’s Foundation, 5757 Waterford District Drive, Ste. 310, Miami, FL 33126.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice and Dalton’s Place for the loving care they provided Ruby during her stay.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
