<p><p>Jamie Lou McGinnis left this world on January 7, 2025, at the age of 60 with her family by her side. Born on October 21, 1964, in Corsicana to Sonny and Mary Bancroft.</p><p><br></p><p>Jamie was a graduate of Kerens High School in 1983, and followed her calling into the field of nursing by earning her degree from Navarro College. Her compassion and dedication to helping others were evident throughout her 36 year career. She began her nursing journey at Navarro Regional Hospital and spent many years of service at various nursing homes in Corsicana. Jamie's gentle hands and kind words brought comfort to countless individuals and their families during her years of devoted service.</p><p><br></p><p>A loving mother, Jamie's legacy is carried on by her daughter Kristal Johnston and son Cary Banks, who were the center of her world. She is also survived by her father, Sonny Bancroft, granddaughter Elaina Johnston, her brother Randy Bancroft and his wife Karen, niece and nephew McKenzie and Payton Bancroft. Jamie was also a beloved niece to Martha McCarter, with whom she shared a special bond, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>Jamie's life was a testament to the joy found in simple pleasures. She relished in the happiness that came from going on family vacations, creating unforgettable memories with every trip. Music filled her soul, and she could often be found at concerts alongside her daughter. She also attended wrestling events with her son that brought excitement and laughter. She was a life long member of Powell Baptist Church. She loved a competitive domino or Uno game with her family-on-family game nights. Jamie would end the night with dinner out with family and go home to enjoy Family Feud, WWE, or Hallmark along side her dog Baby. </p><p><br></p><p>Those who knew Jamie best would describe her as loving, kind, and passionate. She had an innate ability to make each person feel valued and loved, a gift that made her a treasured friend. Her warmth was infectious, her kindness boundless, and her passion for her family and her work was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.</p><p><br></p><p>As we say goodbye to Jamie, we celebrate a life lived with an abundance of love and a commitment to caring for others. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and her memory will remain an inspiration of the love and kindness that she embodied.</p><p><br></p><p>Jamie's departure leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, yet they find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love and compassion will live on. She has now joined her mother, Mary Bancroft, in eternal rest, and together they watch over their loved ones from above.</p><p><br></p><p>Her life was a beautiful tapestry of nurturing, generosity, and unwavering affection. As we honor her memory, we are reminded of the profound impact one life can have on so many. Jamie's story is not one of an end but a continuation through the lives she touched and the love she gave, a narrative of a life beautifully lived.</p><p><br></p><p>In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Powell Baptist Church at PO Box 188 Powell, Texas 75153.</p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be Cary Banks, Randy Bancroft, Payton Bancroft, Keith Ganze, Lynn Ganze, and John Wynn.</p><p><br></p></p>
