<p>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas Scott Anderson, Jr. on January 2, 2025, surrounded by the love and presence of his family.</p><p><br></p><p>Thomas was the devoted husband of Susan Elaine (née Mosshamer) Anderson and a cherished father to Elizabeth Anderson, her husband Doug Blazejewski and Kirk Anderson and his wife Jennifer. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Carter Anderson, Luca Blazejewski, Hadley Anderson, Noah Blazejewski, and Vanya Blazejewski. Tom was a loving son of the late Thomas Scott Anderson, Sr. and the late Mary Ann (née Bauer) Anderson, dear brother to James B. Anderson, his wife Mary Beth and the late Marilyn Grigas, and a beloved brother-in-law to Skip Mosshamer, Deborah Gerard, and Jill Mosshamer.</p><p><br></p><p>Tom a U.S. Army (Paratrooper) Veteran was a man of varied passions and interests. He was an avid reader with a deep love of history, a downhill skiing fanatic, and devoted Michigan football fan. His warm presence and intellectual curiosity left an indelible mark on all who knew him.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Pine Hill Congregational Church, 36520 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to: World Wildlife Fund-Tigers Alive Initiative (www.worldwildlife.org) or to the Baltimore County Public Libraries or the Detroit area Public Libraries.</p><p><br></p><p>The Anderson family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.</p><p><br></p>
