<p>Walhalla-Joyce Phillips Smith, 77, loving wife of Thomas W. Smith, passed away Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on April 28th, 1947, in Oconee County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Roy Nelson Phillips and Elvira Lusk. Joyce worked at Jantzen, and was member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Joyce is survived by husband, Thomas W. Smith; her daughter, Sheryl Annette Sudduth (Bryan) of Lexington, South Carolina; a brother, Paul Phillips of Greenville, South Carolina; sisters, Linda Bradberry of Westminster, South Carolina and Jane Stanley of Westminster, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Ashley Foster (Bill), Corey Sudduth; and a great grandson, Holden Foster.</p><p></p><p>In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Phillips, James Phillips, and Stanley Phillips.</p><p><br></p><p>A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will be at the residence.
