<p>On May 1, 1936, a blessing occurred in the lives of Anella and Haskell Clayton, a baby girl was born, and she was named Leola.</p><p><br></p><p>Leola was raised in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma. She later married a gentleman by the name of James Swait. They had 5 children: Carol, Charles, Larry, Glen & James Jr.</p><p><br></p><p>Leola was a savvy businesswoman and entrepreneur. She started “Tiny Tot” daycare out of her home for friends and family. Which quickly grew into the largest minority owned daycare in the city of Omaha Nebraska, caring for as many as 200 children. She later relocated back to her home roots of Fort Coffee, OK. Where she built another daycare on a smaller scale to continue that friends and family care. Leola also owned and operated “The Cornerstone Lounge”, providing live jazz entertainment and great fellowship.</p><p><br></p><p>Leola later moved to Gardner, KS., to help take care of her two infant grandchildren. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, fishing and hosting guest.</p><p><br></p><p>Leola took her rest in the arms of Jesus on December 14, 2024.</p><p><br></p><p>Leola was preceded in death by her son; Glen, her parents; Haskell and Anella Clayton, her sister; Lorene, and her brothers; Daniel and Raymond.</p><p><br></p><p>Leola leaves to carry on, daughter; Carol (JC) Myers of Olathe, KS., Sons; Charles Swait of Kansas City, MO., Larry (Edwina) Swait of Omaha, NE., James Swait Jr., of Gardner, KS., Daughter-in-law; Catherine Swait of Omaha, NE., Grandchildren as follows; Tracy Swait-Walker (Lavone), Melody Swait, Larry Swait II, Cassandra Swait-Lewis (Josh), Glen Swait Jr. (Brittney), Qasim Shabazz, Britany L. Swait, Ahna L. Swait, Cierra L. Swait, Jaden D. Swait and Emery J. Swait, Brandon Gunn, Courtney Gunn and 21 Great Grandchildren. Leola is also survived by sisters; Lena Triplett, Dorothy Clayton, Wanda Hill, Brothers; Samuel Clayton, Frederick Wright (Sheila), John Clayton (Bertha), Nathan Wright (Zelma), Bill Wright (Heather), Jerry Lee Wright, Lewis Bland (Ann), Sister & Brother-in-laws; Regina Clayton (dec-Raymond), Kay Clayton (dec-Daniel), Mildred Swait-Jones, Lorene Swait-Lee, Levon Clark, Rodger L. Stephens Jr. (Gloria), Vanessa Hopson-Krushall, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family member and friends from far and wide.</p>May 1, 1936 - December 14, 202405/01/193612/14/2024
