<p>Joan M. (Blank) Croop, age 94, of Hawthorne, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, December 21, 2024.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born in Berwick, PA, to George and Lois (Davis) Blank. Joan previously resided in Langhorne, PA, and Franklin Lakes, NJ, before settling in Hawthorne 14 years ago.</p><p><br></p><p>In 1950, Joan married the love of her life, George Croop, and together they built a beautiful life raising their four children. After dedicating many years to her family, Joan worked in retail at Nassau’s Fabric and Decorating in Ridgewood, where she brought her keen eye for design and warm spirit to her work.</p><p><br></p><p>Joan was a devoted parishioner of High Mountain Presbyterian Church in Franklin Lakes, where her faith and fellowship were central to her life.</p><p><br></p><p>Joan was predeceased by her loving husband George in 2015. Beloved mother of Andrea Santillo, Christopher Croop, Melissa Powe, and Joan Krawitz and her husband Harry. Cherished grandmother to Dominic, Nicolas, Veronica, Lizbeth, Matthew, Marcus, Tyler, Collin, Alicia, and Cassandra. Loving great-grandmother to Dominic, Jr., Kaitlyn, David, Francesca, Alexander, Charlotte, Stephanie, Isabella, Austin, and George IV. </p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends may visit the Croop family on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 4-7 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10 AM at the funeral home.
