<p>York, SC - William Wylie Montgomery, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. </p><p>Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 20, 2024, at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road. </p><p>A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Montgomery was a son of the late James Luther Montgomery and Mildred Cullendar Montgomery. He was a proud veteran serving his Country in the United States Navy. He will be remembered for his strong faith in the Lord, and his desire was for people to have a relationship with Christ. He was a proud husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. </p><p>Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Elaine Montgomery; two children, Donna Helms (David) and Jeff Montgomery; a brother, James Montgomery (Dianne); a sister, Shirley Rochester; six grandchildren, Brooke Pantaleon (Daniel), Josh Montgomery (Jessica Phillips), Justin Montgomery (Erin), Ryan Montgomery, Becca Helms (Luke Chappell), and Liz Martin (Justin); and nine great-grandchildren, Abby Lyn Pantaleon, Brynley Pantaleon, Eli Pantaleon, Callie Montgomery, Connor Montgomery, Raegan Montgomery, Sandy Jack Montgomery, Colton Montgomery, and Maverick Martin. </p><p>Memorial donations may be made to Celebration Place Church of the Nazarene, 106 Flushing Drive, York SC 29745. </p><p>Whitesell Funeral Home. </p>March 13, 1940 - December 18, 202403/13/194012/18/2024
