<p>Bradley Scott Tietjens, 64, of Kensett, IA died on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401, with Reverend Cory Allard officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Mason City V.F.W. Honor Guard Post #733.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Teresa Tietjens.</p><p><br></p><p>Brad Tietjens was born on June 26, 1960 to Dale and Barbara (Cady) Tietjens in Mason City, IA. He then grew up in Manly, IA, where he graduated from Manly High School in 1978.</p><p><br></p><p>In 1983, Brad joined the United States Army, where he served honorably until his discharge in 1988. That same year, on August 20, Brad married the love of his life, Teresa (Asche), at Bethel Methodist Church in Manly, IA. From this union a son was born. Nickolas Tietjens.</p><p><br></p><p>Brad worked in the maintenance department for AGP Processing in Mason City for 26 years and was currently employed with Vittera.</p><p><br></p><p>Brad and Teresa shared a passion for travel, exploring the world hand-in-hand. From cruises to destinations like Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Belize, and Mexico, they were always eager to experience life together. Known for their love of live music, the pair attended countless concerts—once going to an impressive 14 in a single year!</p><p><br></p><p>Their life took them to many places, including Washington state, Germany, and Kensett, IA, where they built a home filled with love and memories.</p><p><br></p><p>Brad had many joys in life. He loved the thrill of drag racing, working on vehicles, listening to music, traveling to new places, and enjoying fireworks. But above all, his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandson, Alexander. Brad was a devoted grandfather who loved to watch his grandson learn to play hockey and always had a Hot Wheel tucked in his pocket, ready to make Alexander smile.</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish Brad’s memory are his wife of 41 years, Teresa Tietjens; son Nickolas (Tracy) Tietjens; grandson Alexander Tietjens; his siblings Becky (Rick) Lowers, Brian (Maureen) Tietjens; uncle Mike Cady; aunt Barb Tietjens; mother-in-law Catherine Asche; brothers and sisters-in-law, Julie (Chris) Rye and Scott (Donna) Asche; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and those who considered him to be a father figure.</p><p><br></p><p>Bradley was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Barbara Tietjens; niece Heather (Asche) Wulf; uncle Jerry Tietjens; father-in-law Walter Asche; brother-in-law Charles Asche and sister-in-law Christine (Asche) Campbell.</p><p>Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel 126 3rd Street N.E.
