<p>Obituary for Pauline (Polly) A. Casey</p><p><br></p><p>Polly Casey, 90, of Lynn, Saugus, Falmouth, and Hallandale Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2024. She was the daughter of the late, Honorable William J. Landergan and Gertrude Landergan.</p><p><br></p><p>Polly was raised in Lynn, graduated from English High School, Class of 1952 and from Mount Ida College, Class of 1955. Polly was happily married to the late Attorney Joseph David Casey, and together they raised five children: Marylou Casey Honey and her husband, Michael, of Haselmere, England; Attorney Pamela Casey O’Brien and her husband, Attorney Daniel O’Brien, of Saugus; and Attorney Christopher T. Casey and his wife, Attorney Sharon Shelter Casey, of Marblehead. She was predeceased by her two sons, Joseph D. (Jay) Casey, Jr. and John D. Casey.</p><p><br></p><p>Polly will be dearly missed by her eight grandchildren: Christopher Casey, Jr., Daniel O’Brien, Jr., Attorney Maeve Honey, Attorney Kendall Casey, Owen O’Brien, Andrew Honey, Kevin Casey, and Miles O’Brien.</p><p><br></p><p>Polly will always be remembered for her positive attitude and sense of adventure. She loved planning family vacations and found incredible joy in all of them. Her laughter and smile were contagious. She was an avid skier and passed on that love to all her children where after traversing the slopes they enjoyed leisurely lunches at the lodge and lively après-ski parties. For decades you could find Polly on the tennis court, where she enjoyed playing doubles with the many friends she made over the years. In the afternoons, she loved to walk miles along Lynn Beach with her late brother, Billy Landergan, visit her late sister Trudy Landergan in Nahant and her late sister Marylou Gallagher and her family in York Beach, Maine.</p><p><br></p><p>Polly took immense pride in her children and grandchildren’s milestones. Throughout her life, she celebrated their many amazing accomplishments with a sense of joy and pride as well as faced a number of difficult loses, with remarkable grace and courage.</p><p><br></p><p>Polly's spirit, love of family and friends, and her zest for life will be remembered by all who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 9 AM to 10:15 AM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean St, (Rt 1A) Lynn. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 17 Grove Street, Lynnfield. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.</p>
