<p>Thomas Darrel Brasfield, 91, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA. He was born on July 22, 1933 in Niota, IL to George & Marie Sallen Brasfield. He married Jeanette K. Strunk on July 25, 1953 in Fort Madison, IA. He was a truck driver for 37 years and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and enjoyed traveling, hunting when he was younger and spending winters in San Diego, CA.</p><p>Tom is survived by: his wife: Jeanette Brasfield of Fort Madison, IA; 2-daughters: Kimberly Brasfield of Sammamish, WA & Kathleen (Gilbert) Simon of Burlington, IA; 2-grandchildren; 1-brother: Michael Brasfield of Wever, IA & 1-sister: Carol Ann (Arlin) Clover of LaHarpe, IL He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-grandson: Leon & 1-brother: Richard.</p><p>A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Gary Beckman officiating. Cremation will take place following the funeral mass and a private family burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Tom’s memory.
