<p>AnnMarie Walraven, 60, passed away on November 25, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 11, 1964 in Brooklyn, she was the third daughter of Marianne and Rosario Bontempo. From a young age AnnMarie’s vibrant personality was undeniable. Known for her quick wit, her love of storytelling and her ever-present cigarette, she could light up any room. Her energy and spirit made an unforgettable impression and those who knew her will always carry the memory of her infectious laughter and warm heart.</p><p><br></p><p>AnnMarie’s life was built around her love for her husband Roy, her treasured dog Luna and her niece and nephews. Whether it was sharing a home-cooked meal, telling jokes or lending a hand; she made every moment count. AnnMarie was as skilled with her hands, whether she was styling hair or cooking her famous chicken cutlets, as she was with making those around her feel special. She had a gift for bringing people together and her vibrant personality made her the heart of her family.</p><p><br></p><p>Her passions were wide-ranging: family, music, food, animals, children and nature. She loved her time spent with loved ones in Brooklyn, Battery Park City and Vernon Valley, NJ. She always found joy in the simple things like animals, mountains and the beach. AnnMarie was fiercely loyal and would go to any length to care for those she loved. Her ability to make everyone feel like they were her family is something that will never be forgotten.</p><p><br></p><p>AnnMarie is survived by her devoted husband Roy Walraven, her mother Marianne Bontempo and stepfather John Mandelino, her caring mother-in-law Marjorie Dean, her sister Lisa Lowen and brother-in-law Richard Lowen, her brother Charles Bontempo and her beloved niece and nephews: Ava and her husband Michael, Richie, Ross, and Christian. Her faithful Golden Retriever Luna will miss her dearly as well.</p><p><br></p><p>AnnMarie was predeceased by her father Rosario Bontempo, her sister Margaret Quartuccio and her nephew Richard Lowen.</p><p><br></p><p>AnnMarie’s legacy will live on in the love she gave and the laughter she shared. She will forever be remembered as a one-of-a-kind woman who made the world a brighter place just by being in it.</p><p><br></p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 2nd, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 81 Throckmorton Ave, Old Bridge, NJ, 08857.</p><p>A Graveside Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, 848 Old Bridge Turnpike, East Brunswick, NJ, 08816.</p>
