<p>Deborah Kay Chaney, also known as Kay Kay, passed away November 20, 2024, at Hays Nursing Home in San Marcos, Texas. She was born December 11, 1951, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Alvis Ray Chaney and Ann Louise Gross Chaney. Deborah moved to Houston when she was very young. She grew up there and lived there until her retirement after thirty-four years from Morgan Stanley where she worked as a Senior Financial Associate.</p><p><br></p><p>Deborah loved her family and enjoyed surrounding herself with them. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and cooking great food. Her specialty was turkey and dressing on Thanksgiving Day. Even her co-workers looked forward to eating her dressing. Deborah’s family and friends will always remember her thoughtfulness in always sending them birthday and Christmas cards. During her health struggle, she said many times that she wanted to be remembered by all who knew her. This was very important to her.&nbsp;<br></p><p><br></p><p>Deborah is preceded in death by her parents Alvis and Ann Chaney, and her brother William Mack Chaney.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her sister Patti McCann and her husband Eddy McCann, and her brother Jim Chaney and his wife Kellie Chaney. Deborah is also survived by her nieces Breanna Chaney, Amanda Akerblom and her husband Johan Akerblom, and Megan McCann, and her nephew Sam Chaney and his wife Melissa Chaney. Also survived by great nephews Julian Marshall, Skylar Chaney, and great nieces Vivienne Chaney, Aurora Chaney, and Freja Akerblom.</p>
