<p><p>It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Ruth Clements, age 87 of Port Caledonia on Thursday, November 14th, 2024 in the Northside Community Guest Home, North Sydney.</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Joan was the daughter of the late Charles & Frances (Weir) Marshall. </p></p><p><br></p><p><p>She is survived by her three children, Frances (Anita), Mary (Dwayne), Gerald “Gerry” (Alena), many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>Joan was predeceased by her husband, Walter Clements in February of 2024, sister, Betty and a brother, Charles.</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay.</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>Interment will be held in the summer of 2025 in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Blackbrook.</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>Memorial donations in memory of Joan may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
