Andrew Burns
<p>Andrew Michael Burns, 59, of Keyport, NJ, died on November 9, 2024 in Keyport. He was born in Red Bank, NJ in 1965, and lived in Middletown, Monmouth Beach and West Long Branch before buying his home in Keyport in 2007.</p><p><br></p><p>Andrew was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Richard Burns, sister Barbara Hettwer, and parents, Richard and Martha Burns. Surviving are his two brothers, Chris Burns (Terry) and William Burns, sister Marianne Stelmasczyk (Ed), niece Patricia Stelmasczyk and nephews Michael Stelmasczyk and William Mueller.</p><p><br></p><p>Andrew graduated from Middletown High School North, followed by two years of military service. He worked for many years as an installer for Verizon Fios, retiring in 2019.</p><p><br></p><p>As a youth, Andrew took an interest in independent film production, along with a group of school friends, often using his parents’ unfinished basement as an atmospheric setting. He enjoyed video games, anime, classic films, and recreational shooting. The façade of his low key demeanor was often shattered by a cunningly sharp wit.</p><p>Andrew treasured favorite uncle status with his beloved niece and nephew, Patti and Michael.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held at a later date.</p><p><br></p>September 5, 1965 - November 9, 202409/05/196511/09/2024
