Born on March 1, 1958, Ismael touched countless lives with his generosity, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. He passed away on November 7, 2024, surrounded by the love of those who cherished him most.</p><p><br></p><p>Ismael Sr. leaves behind his two sons, Ismael Avina Jr. and Isaac Christopher Avina, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a devoted father and provider, instilling in his son’s values of integrity and respect. Ismael Jr. and Isaac carry forward his legacy through their own children, whom Ismael Sr. adored: his grandsons Ismael Avina III, Izeyah Avina, and Isaac Avina II, and his granddaughters Audrianna Avina and Aly Avina. Though Ismael Sr. and Elda Navarro, mother of his sons, were no longer together, they shared a profound connection through the family they built together.</p><p><br></p><p>Known for his warm spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand, Ismael Sr. was always there for others, a man who put others' needs above his own without hesitation. Friends, family, and neighbors could count on him for support and encouragement, whether through his acts of kindness or a listening ear. His heart was truly one of gold, and his faith guided him in all he did.</p><p><br></p><p>Ismael Sr. was a master brick mason who loved to sing and had a passion for music that lifted the spirits of those around him. He also had an unwavering loyalty to his Houston sports teams, cheering them on with a devotion that matched his love for family.</p><p><br></p><p>His memory will live on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the love, wisdom, and joy he shared with us.
