Predeceased by parents Amanda Matte (Laurin) and Joseph Matte, sisters Laurette Boudreault, Lorraine Pellerin, Lucille Coutu, brothers Roger Matte, Roland Matte and Royal Matte. Survived by sisters Viviane Viens (Yvan) and Lucienne St-Amand. Loving Mother to Bob Ross (Michele), Chico Ross (Gia), Roger Ross (Sandra) and Deborah Ross (friend Mike). Cherished grandmother to Megan (Tim), Robin (Brandon) and Jamie (Alex). Rolande was a softspoken and proud woman who was thoughtful, selfless, always putting everyone else before herself, especially her children. She enjoyed her puzzles, both jigsaw and books, collecting cute knick knacks, watching old movies and loved her scratch tickets. She adored Celine Dion, listening to her songs took her to a different place. She loved taking pictures, camera always in hand at functions and events, she captured so many wonderful memories that we can all fondly look back on. She was most happy spending time with her kids, having family dinners, enjoying Chico's mashed potatoes which she often requested. She was so proud of her son Bob having served in the army. Her son Roger showing her new worlds with technology which amazed her including the Alexa loaded with pictures that she loved viewing. Not only Mother, also best friend to daughter Deborah who enjoyed their made-up card games, dinners at Maria's and how she would often randomly make her laugh. Brave, resilient and so strong are just a few qualities we admired. Often referred to as cute and sweet, that was our Momma. Bonsoir, Bonne Nuit, Sweet Dreams, I love you, Goodnight darling. Missed and loved by all who knew her. Special thanks to medical staff over the years, namely Dr. Nistico, Dr. De Blacam, Dr. Hendel, Dr. Bourdon and caregiver Boomie whom Mom had a fondness for, she was so kind and got on a personal level with her. Also thank you to Paramedics Vince and Martin for their care.

As per Rolande's wishes, there will be no service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
