Linda Joann Schanfarber
<p>Linda Joan/Joann Schanfarber died on Saturday, October 26th in Springfield, Missouri following a courageous battle with colorectal cancer. During the time of passing, she was lovingly surrounded by her family in her home. Linda was born on June 14, 1951 in Carthage, Missouri. She was the youngest of five children (Don, Roger, Harold, and Charles) to Lester and Lena (Rayl) Leaming. Linda is survived by one brother, Charles Leaming and his wife Olivia of Jasper, Missouri. In 1970, she married Terry Salsman in Oklahoma and had two sons. Later in life, she married Jim Schanfarber in 1987 and had a son and daughter. She is survived by all four of her children: Patrick Salsman and his wife, Sarah Salsman of Nixa, Missouri, Brandon Salsman and his wife, Nikki Salsman of Gresham, Oregon, Andrew Schanfarber of Springfield, Missouri, and Bethany Schanfarber-Okafor and her husband Marshall of Saint Louis. She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Case Schanfarber, Bailey Salsman, Skyler Coach, and one great-grandchild, Ari Coach.</p><p><br></p><p>Linda worked as a customer relations specialist for Bass Pro for 24 years where she met some of her closest friends. More than anything in the world, Linda had an abundance of love for her family and often expressed this love through her enjoyment of cooking and baking. Family gatherings were always elevated by her delicious meals. Throughout her life, Linda had a giving spirit and was always supportive to the ones she held dear. As a proud Kansas City Chiefs fan, she treasured watching games with her family. Linda found great joy in gardening, reading, and watching her grandchildren grow up. Linda was the cornerstone of her family and will sorely be missed.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be arranged by Holden Funeral of Sparta with burial at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri on Friday, November 1st at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks.</p>June 14, 1951 - October 26, 202406/14/195110/26/2024
