<p>Carol J. Pickett, age 88, of Darlington, WI, formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Sienna Crest Assisted Living in Darlington. She was born May 17, 1936, in Argyle, WI the daughter of Albert and Mabel (Anderson) Dovre. She grew up in Argyle where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Dean Pickett in June of 1954 at the Argyle Lutheran Church. Dean and Carol farmed in Lafayette County in the early years of their marriage. In 1967 they moved to Lamont to raise their family, where Carol worked as a homemaker. In 1999 she moved into the village of Argyle and lived there until 2023. She later moved to Sienna Crest in Darlington where she had resided since.</p><p>Carol is survived by her children: Marsha Keller of Clinton, WI , Brian Pickett of Blanchardville, WI, Heather (Don) Blosch of Shullsburg, WI, her grandchildren: Seth (Ann) Keller of Clinton, WI, Sarah (Jacob) England of Murfreesboro, TN, Conrad Blosch of Sun Prairie, WI, Curtis Blosch of Darlington, Catie Blosch of Platteville, WI and Callie Blosch of Shullsburg; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dean in 1997; her sons: Greg in 2022 and Jeff in 2023; A grandson in infancy: Carson Blosch in 2001; a brother and sister-in-law: Albert “Bud” Jr. (June) Dovre and a sister and brother-in-law: Betty (Julian) Breiseth, and a son-in-law: Martin Keller.</p><p>Carol was a member of Argyle Lutheran Church. She always looked forward to spending time with her family and friends and made it a point to keep up with her grandchildren’s events. Carol was a light of happiness to anyone who knew her. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.</p><p>A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at Erickson Funeral Home (801 E. Milwaukee St.) in Argyle, WI with Pastor Kate Kieckhafer officiating, on Friday, November 1, 2024, with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family.
