Kenneth "Kenny" D. Lancour
<p>Kenneth D. “Kenny” Lancour, 86, of Burlington, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on October 3, 1938, he was the son of Raymond and Myrtle (nee Kinney) Lancour. His early life was spent in East Troy, and he graduated from St. Mary’s Grade School and High School. He served as a medic in the Army and was a lifetime resident of the Burlington area.</p><p><br></p><p>Kenny worked for Payne and Dolan as a Local 139 Operating Engineer foreman. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, ice fishing and was an avid Packers, Brewers and Badger fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.</p><p><br></p><p>Kenny is survived by his children, Kenda (Q) Lancour and Laurel (Kurt) Rettig; grandchildren, Kayanna Norden, Justin (Rachel) Norden, Greg (Rachel) Huening, Madysen Weis, Mackenzie (Matt) Gissendaner and Kelli Rettig; great-grandchildren, Aaiden, Austin, Bryson, Kristina, Kassandra, Theo, Sylvia, Lincoln and Jase; siblings, Fritz Lancour, Bernie (Connie) Lancour, Mary Wennesheimer, Eddie (Angie) Lancour, Jimmy (Chris) Lancour, Margaret (Dennis) Hesslink, Elaine Edwards and Phillip (Tracy) Lancour; and in-laws, Theresa Lancour, Velma Lancour, and Chris Lancour. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Raymond (Pat) Lancour, Richard Lancour, Eugene Lancour, Howard Lancour, Beanie (Marlena) Lancour and Bill Edwards; and in-laws, Donnie Lancour and Buck Wennesheimer.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington for their care during this time.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, PO Box 40726, Nashville, TN 37204 (www.garysinisefoundation.org) or The American Cancer Society.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Doc's on the Fox, 232 N. Milwaukee St., Waterford, Wisconsin. The Celebration will begin at 12:00 Noon with Military Honors at 2:00PM.
