<p><p>Prabhakaran Rangaswamy, M.D., age 72, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born and raised in Chintamani-Karnataka, India, Prabhakaran settled in Red Bank 40 years ago.&nbsp;</p><p>Dr. Rangaswamy earned his Doctorate Degree from Mysore Medical College and went on to work for the State of New York Office of Mental Health, South Beach Psychiatric.</p><p>He is predeceased by his parents, Muniswamy Rangaswamy and Dhaivamani Narayanaswamy, and his brothers, Goutham and Anand Kumar.</p><p>Surviving is his beloved wife, Marie Smith Rangaswamy; three children, his siblings, Naveen Dayal (Anne Marie) of Canada, Kasturi Rangaswamy of India, Ranjitha Sandeep (Abbu Sandeep) of Westfield, Sunanda Manoharan (Manoharan) of India, Uday Kumar of India; his five cherished grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.</p><p>Viewing will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall.&nbsp; A Graveside Service will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.</p><p>In lieu of flowers, please recognize the dedicated ICU nurses by sending something their way to show appreciation for their amazing care.
