<p>MANSFIELD: “Just a green eyed Italian woman who loved her family.” This quote was from Christine Heckel, a loving mom, grandma, and great grandma. She was proud of her Italian heritage as well as her family.</p><p><br></p><p>Christine Ann Heckel, 69, of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly following an extended illness. The daughter of Theodore and Mary (Jiannuzzi) Evans, Christine was born July 14, 1955 in Toledo.</p><p><br></p><p>Spending time with her daughters and grandchildren as often as possible was what she looked forward to more than anything. She always had a soft spot for animals including her brown Brittany Spaniel dog Lucy. In her younger years Christine enjoyed cooking and making delicious meals for her family. She loved her grandchildren more than anything, especially her granddaughter Presley, whom she had a special bond with.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughters Stacy(Brian) Cogar of Lucas and Lauri Heckel of Cartersville, Georgia; grandchildren: Taylor, Mark, Bryce(Sierra) and Presley; sister Julie Apostoli (Pio), as well as a niece, nephews and extended family.</p><p><br></p><p>Christine is now joining her parents Theodore and Mary in heaven as well as her sister Elaine Koller as well as many other friends and family members.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held Saturday October 5, 2024 at 4pm with visitation beginning 2 hours prior from 2-4 pm at Snyder Funeral Home located in Loudonville at 123 N Market St, Loudonville, OH, 44842.
