<p>Thomas C. Slentz, age 47 of Englewood, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024. He was a graduate of Northmont High School class of 1996, Miami University and Wright State University. Tom was a Physical Education and Health teacher at Northmont High School for the past 23 years. Tom enjoyed coaching youth football, wrestling and baseball and enjoyed sports photography. He loved dogs and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football fan.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>He is survived by his wife: Heather (Link) Slentz, children: Tyler Link, Connor Slentz and Linley Slentz, father: Robert Slentz, mother and step-father: Christine and John Kettler, siblings: Tim (Christina) Slentz, Megan (Tony) Strickland, Molly (Todd) Broering, mother-in-law: Linda Link, sisters-in-law: Meredith Link, Allison Link, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Steven Link.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SICSA or the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
