<p>Ruth Volkman, 98, of Westminster passed away on Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2024 at Carroll Lutheran Village where she was a long-time resident.</p><p><br></p><p>Born March 20, 1926, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Olga (Felvock) Yanky. She was the loving wife of the late Henry August Volkman, Jr. who predeceased her in 2016.</p><p><br></p><p>Ruth was a retired Executive Secretary for the Carroll County Board of Education. She was devout Christian and a member of Faith Family Church in Gamber.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are children and spouses Steven Volkman (Cindy) of Groveland, Fl and Glenda Bullock (Robert) of Westminster; sister Lillian Glasser of Stevensville; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was predeceased by her brother, Wimbert Yanky.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 12 Noon to 1pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster where a funeral service will begin at 1pm, with Pastor Paul Andrews officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gamber.</p><p><br></p><p>Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.prittsfuneralhome.com.</p><p><br></p>March 20, 1926 - September 28, 202403/20/192609/28/2024
