<p>Pamela Sue (Schamel) Carroll, of Henryville, IN passed away at University Of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY in the afternoon hours of Saturday, September 28th, 2024, the day after her 74th birthday. Pamela was born on September 27th, 1950 in Chicago, IL to the late Mr. Olin H. Schamel and Iris (Tremmel) Schamel. She was raised as a Catholic, worked at Kroger starting out as cashier and worked her way up to the title of Hiring Coordinator by the time of her retirement, and was blessed with 54 years of marriage with the love of her life, her husband, David E. Carroll. She was a beloved wife, mother, and one of a kind sister who will be truly missed.</p><p>In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by; stepmother, Jessie Schamel; and a stepsister, Marla Robels.</p><p>Left to cherish her memory; loving husband, David Carroll; son, James “Jim” Carroll (Bonnie Grantz); sister, Cheri Boren (Dave); brother, Scott Schamel (Aneitha); stepbrothers, John Black (Julie), Bill Black (Dawn), Jim Black (Debbie), and Charles Black (Jane); stepsister, Cheryll Obendorf (Paul); nephews, Rob Boren (Dana), Mike Boren (Julie), Trace Schamel, and several nieces and nephews.</p><p>Visitation will be held at the Market Street Chapel of the Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes on Thursday, October 3rd from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM, with the funeral service to begin at 1:30 PM.</p><p>Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations in Pamela’s name to the Bluegrass Shih-Tzu Rescue.</p><p><br></p>September 27, 1950 - September 28, 202409/27/195009/28/2024
