<p>Theresa “Bonnie” Chauvin Spragis entered eternal rest on September 26, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born on October 2, 1932, in Rosedale, LA. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was affectionately known as “Granny”. Bonnie was a tremendous caregiver and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She leaves behind 4 children to cherish her memory, Vicky Wille (Brian), Angie Bouy (Mike Sayer), Delia Soileau (Mark), Russell Spragis Jr (Heather), and daughter-in-law Vickie Spragis; 8 grandchildren, Brandon Wille & Kirsten Friddle, Stephanie Hadley & Stephen Bouy, Brandy & Justin Soileau, Clayton Spragis, and Erin Dawson; 17 great-grandchildren; and special godchild Theresa “Odalie” Babin. Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Russell Spragis Sr; son Keith Spragis; parents James and Zenobia Chauvin; sisters Cleo Steib & Geraldine “Jerry” Carreras; and brother James “Mutt” Chauvin Jr. Visiting will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Maringouin on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will follow at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen Bouy, Justin Soileau, Brandon Wille, Clayton Spragis, Justin Friddle, and Denton Hadley Jr.; Honorary pallbearers will be O’Neil “Skeet” Babin and Trenton Friddle, PO2, Petty Officer, 2nd Class US Navy. Family would like to give a special thanks to Baton Rouge General Hospital, Cardiovascular Institute of the South, Pointe Coupee General Hospital and Pointe Coupee Hospice.
