<p><p>Sherlock Paul Holmes, Jr., 93, of Sunset Beach, NC entered peaceful rest on Sunday, September 15, 2024.</p> <p>He was born in Bridgeport on May 9, 1931 and he was the son of the late Sherlock Paul Holmes, Sr., and Elizabeth Maskel Holmes.&nbsp; In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wives, Carol Dunn Holmes and Eleanor “Ellie” Frances Holmes, brother Jack Holmes, and son Michael Holmes.</p> <p>He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran and worked as a Product Control Manager for Sikorsky Aircraft before his retirement.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mr. Holmes is survived by devoted daughters, Lisa Byler and Christine Griffin (Robert); grandchildren Bryant Griffin and Zachary Byler; great grandchildren, Marilyn, Audrey, Thayer, Amity, and Corgan.</p> <p>Services will be private.</p> </p>
