After years of being a strong and courageous fighter, Michael Myane won his final battle and peacefully slipped to eternal rest Tuesday Sept 17, while holding the hands of his wife and daughter.

Micky, “like the mouse”, as he often said, was born July 14, 1946 in Kingsville Texas to Mary Frances and Geoffrey Myane. Raised also by ‘Momma’, his grandmother who lived with them, he grew up in Premont, Tx, where the Myane brothers were quite the infamous trio; to know them was to love them, but also to know there was a strong possibility you’d need to set up an alibi for the inevitable shenanigans you’d find yourself in.

A fiercely loyal and upstanding man, there just weren’t many like him. Micky was a true southern gentleman, a proud Texan, oil and gas entrepreneur, devoted husband and an extraordinary father. He was a monumental man who left an everlasting impression on all who were privileged to know him and call him friend.

Micky is preceded in death by his parents, his late wife, Lavana and his precious best friends in life for those who remember them, Tinker Belle, Rowdy and Cocos 1 and 2, the most creative of his dog names.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pat, his daughter Sommer (Justin) Hausman of the Woodlands, Tx, Kristi (Terry) Coppage of Calallen Tx, Jimmy (Melissa) Fenner of Flour Bluff, Tx and the numerous lights of his life: his grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his older brother Jerry (Dean) Myane of Blanco, Tx and his younger brother Todo (Carolyn) Myane, of Uvalde Tx and friends he considered family.

Celebration of life services will be held Monday, September 30th at Holmgreen mortuary, 2061 E Main St, Alice Tx 78332, beginning at 10am. Please come ready to share some amazing stories- as certainly the statute of limitations has run out so you should all be safe. Also please feel free to write them down and share them with us and we can compile them as a keepsake for the future generations.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be directed back into the community that so richly blessed his life. We will have a collection box for any cards and donations or please feel free to mail them to:

Attn: Teresa M.
