<p>Colleen Collins Lane passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at the UVM Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the daughter of John and Irene (Kennedy) Collins.</p><p><br></p><p>Colleen leaves behind her son Kenneth, who has given me only happiness and so many smiles and laughter; his wife Holly and grandsons Shawn and Kristopher, Kristopher’s wife Emma and their daughter Vivienne. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, gran nieces and grand nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by her sisters and brother: Rita Lavery, Eileen Sanborn, Mary Irish, Patricia Buckley, Jeannine Swift, and brother John Collins and nephews Patrick and Timothy Irish.</p><p><br></p><p>Colleen was employed by Howard Bank for 28 years, starting as a Proof Operator and retiring as Assistant Vice President in Operations. She was also employed by JC Penney for 13 years in the Receiving and Cash Office.</p><p><br></p><p>Colleen was a member of the 251 Club. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, AARP Tax Aide for ten years, Treasurer of the South Burlington Senior Center as well as the Pines Activity Association.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to call at the Ready Funeral Home 261 Shelburne Road Burlington on Thursday, September19, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Vianney Church on Hinesburg Road in South Burlington on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at the Resurrection Park Cemetery on Hinesburg Road</p><p><br></p><p>Instead of flowers donations may be made in Colleen’s name to Meals on Wheels.</p><p><br></p><p>We would like to thank the staff at UVM Medical Center for their care of Colleen during her illness.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements are in the care of the Ready Funeral and Cremation Services.
