<p>Gregory Michael Berley, 66, of North Aurora passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was born on April 25, 1958, the son of Nick John Berley and Tanya (Halley) Berley.</p><p><br></p><p>He grew up in West Chicago and enjoyed many sports in high school like wrestling and baseball. He loved being with friends and family and going to rock concerts when he was younger.</p><p><br></p><p>Throughout his life, Gregory found beauty in solitude. He loved nature, fishing, and riding his bike along the Fox river. Gregory was also a skilled craftsman; he owned his own HVAC company and was very mechanical, and was a longtime member of Sheetmetal Workers Union Local 265. He was also very into aviation.</p><p><br></p><p>He was known artistically for his unique stick figure skier drawings on everyone’s Christmas cards.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his mother Tanya, his sister Gail Berley, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who loved and will miss him.</p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his father Nick Berley.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave, Batavia IL 60510.</p><p><br></p><p>A private entombment will take place at a later date at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton IL</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
