Jordan Russell Elkins
<p>Jordan Elkins, 35, of Weaverville, NC passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2024 and was welcomed into Heaven by his grandpa Ed Elkins, aunt Terry Hensley, and many other family members and dear friends. Born on January 6, 1989 along with his twin brother, Dustin, to Michael and Judith Elkins of Weaverville, NC. </p><p><br></p><p>Jordan was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, and nephew. His heart was huge, and he never met a soul that he would not help in any way that he could. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, Jordan was always up for an adventure and watching sports with his friends. Jordan loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was looking forward to meeting his nephew, Lyle Jordan Elkins. He will be missed but never forgotten.</p><p><br></p><p>Here on earth to cherish his memories are his parents, twin brother & sister-in-law, Dustin and Dalia Elkins, niece Amelia Elkins, paternal grandmother, Peggy Elkins, maternal grandparents, G.D. and Doris Hensley, aunts and uncles, Debbie and Carl Petty, David and Dana Hensley, Mark and Lisa Elkins, John and Tammy Elkins, Ruth Elkins, Jay and Kim Elkins, Ray and Lisa Elkins, Elizabeth Elkins, and Tammy M. Elkins, as well as many cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>We thank God for the time that we had with Jordan, and we praise God for his mercy and that he has replaced Jordan’s pain and sorrow with joy and peace.</p><p><br></p><p>“Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalm 107: 6-9</p><p><br></p><p>A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday September 4, 2024, in the Buckner-Elkins Cemetery at Piney Mountain Baptist Church.
