<p>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Aaron Mihalek, age 33, on Friday, August 23, 2024. Aaron was a beloved father, partner, son, and brother who left us far too soon.</p><p><br></p><p>Born and raised in Ashland, Wisconsin, Aaron was part of a large, loving family. He was a man of many passions, including fishing, hunting, and baseball. Winters couldn’t come soon enough, as he loved spending time with his dad and uncle hunting and ice fishing. He spent his summers reeling in monsters at the hot pond, where he stood with a fishing pole from sunrise to sunset. He cherished every moment spent playing with his children, Laythan, Thayer, and Elowynn and was a devoted partner to Calee.</p><p><br></p><p>Aaron was known for his sense of humor, goodwilled nature, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his huge love for animals. He brought joy and laughter to those around him, especially his sisters who could get him to do just about anything. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his parents Rick Mihalek (Liz), Diane Garz, his siblings Jason (Cary) Kraft, Michael Mihalek, Nichole (Pete) Kriskovich, Tanya (Matt) Domask, Jen (Derek) Rochester, Tracy (Nicholas) Anderson, Ryan (Lupita) Pero, Rachel Mihalek (Dan), Brooke Mihalek (Zach), his children, Laythan, Thayer, Elowynn, his partner Calee, numerous nieces and nephews (who will forever call him “Uncle Oh No”), and his extended family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.</p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Vernie Kraft and Elizabeth Naser, grandparents, Paul and Charlotte Kraft and Richard and Johanna Mihalek.</p><p><br></p><p>A Memorial Service for Aaron will take place at 3:00 pm on Saturday August 31, 2024 at the Mountain Funeral Home in Ashland, WI.</p><p><br></p><p>A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home in Ashland and continue until the hour of service.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Animal Allies Humane Society of Duluth, MN, or the Go Fund Me.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI.</p><p><br></p>March 4, 1991 - August 23, 202403/04/199108/23/2024
