<p>Born on May 8, 1931 in Winnipeg, MB to James E and Celenna Millard. He passed away on August 14, 2024 in Edmonton, AB. He is survived by his wife, Denise Millard, and is predeceased by his first wife, Gwen, and second wife, Xenia. He is also survived by their children, Karen and Lisa Millard, and Michael Millard. In addition, he is survived by his stepchildren Luranne Miller, Nancy Nix, Robert, Timothy, and Philip Stockley, and Nicola Watson, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>He attended Woodhaven Junior High and Gordon Bell High School, and then went on to the University of Manitoba where he obtained a CA in 1956. He articled with KPMG, formerly Riddellstead, in Winnipeg and Montreal. He practiced with L. McMahon, R. Graham, and K. Ketner in St. Thomas, ON, until 1970 when he joined KPMG as a partner. He retired in Edmonton, AB. While with KPMG, he was chosen as one of two partners in Canada to attend educational training facilities in Switzerland and California. After retiring from KPMG, he became the treasurer of the Hudson’s Bay Acceptance Corporation.</p><p><br></p><p>During his time in Edmonton, Garnett was involved in various organizations, including the Edmonton Police Commission, downtown Edmonton Rotary Club, Alberta Treasury Board, and Edmonton Opera Association.</p><p><br></p><p>Garnett has requested no immediate funeral but a celebration of life to be held at a later date. We would like to thank Dr. A.A.
