<div>Peter G. DePlacido, of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 19th at 94 years of age.</div><p><br></p><p>Son of the late Peter A. and Elizabeth (DeVingo) DePlacido. He was the devoted husband of Louise J. (Guiggio). The couple relocated to Saugus, where they raised their family and remained for the rest of their lives. His dear wife, Louise, passed away on August 4th, 2021 after sharing 69 wonderful years together.</p><p><br></p><p>Devoted father of Peter DePlacido, Maria DePlacido Kaminsky and her husband Edward of Saugus and Gina Blandini of Scituate. Cherished grandfather of Andria Benn and her husband David and Maria Blandini. Adored Papa of Penelope Benn. Dear brother of Ann Fabiano of Wakefield, Anthony DePlacido and Diane Recchia of East Boston, the late Gaetano DePlacido and his surviving wife, Julia DePlacido of Saugus and the late Angela Venti of Woburn. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born and raised in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Army.</p><p>Peter was a talented and skilled architect and held a degree from Wentworth College. During his career in architecture, he opened his own firm, DEP Associates. He held a contract with the Boston Archdiocese, and he also worked on several local churches, as well as many other projects in the area. Peter enjoyed remaining social and dedicated much of his time to the Knights of Columbus, Saugus Council #1829, where he once held the rank of Grand Knight and also served as treasurer.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Family & friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere on Thursday, August 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Ave Maria Parish – Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield at 12:00 p.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
