<p>EJ Carson entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 14,2024, surrounded by his family. EJ worked at Anderson Mill for 22 years, he loved gardening, Tile layer and very passionate about landscaping. He was very quiet and soft spoken, he was a loving father, brother, grandfather, he loved the church and his church family. He attended Wilson Creek, in Iva, South Carolina early in life. He joined Flat Rock with the love of his life and remained faithful and dedicated to the church. EJ was born on November 22,1935, in Abbeville County, South Carolina, to the late John M Carson and Coeaver Hudson. </p><p><br></p><p>EJ was a devoted husband to his late wife Sylvine Carson an awesome person to all who knew and loved him. He will greatly be missed. </p><p><br></p><p>EJ retired from Chiquola Mill in Honea Path, SC and applied his entrepreneurial talent in his. Land Scaping. business.</p><p><br></p><p>EJ was preceded in death by his parents, Coeaver Hudson and John Carson, his wife Sylvine Carson, son Michael Carson, one sisters Jimmy C. Bruno.</p><p><br></p><p>He leaves to cherish his fond memories, daughter Jennifer Elaine Caruthers (Marvin Caruthers), of Fayetteville, GA, three sons, Roylee Carson (Janene) of Columbia, SC, Preston Carson (Denise) of Anderson, SC. Melvin Wright of Virginia, Evelyn Jones of Anderson, SC, Bernice Whitfield of Greenville, SC, Pearline Hamilton (Jessie) of Iva SC. Siblings, Brenda Ellis, SC, Patricia Carson of Anderson, SC; one brother, Marion Carson (Doris) of Anderson SC; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank his loving care givers, Roylee Carson, Preston Carson, Denise Carson, Jennifer Caruthers, Marvin Caruthers and Hospice of the Upstate, Anderson South Carolina.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank Hospice Upstate nurses as well as Unity Mortuary for their support and services during this time. Additionally, the Carson Family want to thank each and every one for your calls, food, flowers, and prayers. We are thankful to his sister – in laws, brother in-law, and nephews and nieces .</p><p><br></p><p>The family is at 204 Overlook Drive, Belton, SC 29627<br></p><p><br></p><p>The funeral service for Mr. Carson will be held at Flat Rock AME Church, Abbeville, SC on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
