Matthew James Guisinger
<p>Matthew James Guisinger, born on May 15, 1978, passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 46. Matt was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing and hiking throughout the majestic Colorado mountains. Among his most cherished memories were a fishing trip to Alaska shared with family and friends, and the many miles he traveled on his motorcycle, embracing the open road.<br> <br> Throughout Matt’s childhood, he had a love for baseball and became a very skillful player through high school and his early college years. In his adult life, he spent many hours watching and following the game. Matt also loved his pets, especially his dogs, Trooper and Winslow. They provided a great source of companionship and were a valued part of his family.<br> <br> Matt’s artistic talents were vast and varied. He was an accomplished artist across several mediums, and his passion for model building was reflected in the meticulous attention to detail he brought to each project. Beyond his creative pursuits, Matt had a deep love for music, often playing the guitar, and was an avid video game enthusiast.<br> <br> Above all, Matt treasured the time he spent with his children, supporting them in their athletic endeavors and sharing in their lives. His dedication to family was evident in every aspect of his life.<br> <br> Matt is survived by his beloved children: son, Brodey James Hoffman-Guisinger of Thornton, Colorado, born in 1997; daughter, Olivia James Guisinger of Erie, Colorado, born in 2009; and son, Pryce James Guisinger of Erie, Colorado, born in 2012. He is also survived by his father, Michael Joseph Guisinger of Surprise, Arizona; his brother, Michael J. Guisinger of Green Mountain, Colorado; his sister, Melissa J. Wahlers (Jeremy) of Maplewood, New Jersey; and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Matthew was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Jean Guisinger.<br> <br> Matt married Nicole J. Scheele on July 5, 2008, and although they later divorced, they remained united in their love and care for their children.<br> <br> Per Matt’s wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established for the benefit of his minor children, Olivia and Pryce, at US Bank, 3338 Arapahoe Road, Erie, Colorado, 80516, under the name of their mother, Nicole J.
