<p>Phyllis J. (Waddell) Arney-Coffee, 81, New Oxford, passed Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at The Brethren Home Community, New Oxford. She was the wife of the late George Arney, Jr, her husband of 26 years, who passed on January 25, 1985. </p><p>Phyllis was born February 21, 1943 in Jumping Branch, WV, the daughter of the late Troy C. and Hazy R. (Richmond) Waddell. </p><p>Phyllis was active in her church and enjoyed spending time with her family at reunions and gatherings, and enjoyed doing handicrafts, crocheting and sewing. </p><p>Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Nancy Worley of Bushnell, FL, and Rev. Kathy L. Altman and her husband Mark of Hanover, a son, Gary Arney and his wife Katherine of New Oxford, nine grandchildren, David Worley and his wife Maria, Bryan Worley, Krystal Ray and her husband Richard, Nicholas Altman and his wife Tamra, Russell Altman, Glenn S. Arney and his wife Donna, Sonny Salisbury, R. Gage Salisbury, and Garrett Arney and his wife Megan, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a sister, Frances Hatfield of Jackson, OH, and two brothers, Raymond Waddell and his wife Mary of Manchester, MD, and Howard Waddell and his wife Mary of Delta. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, David E. Worley, a grandson, Mikey Worley, and siblings, Mantha, Clifford, Mildred, Amos, Leanna, and Johnny. </p><p>Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with her daughter, Rev. Kathy L. Altman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 PM, and on Wednesday from 9AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of The Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, is in charge of arrangements.
