Stanley Victor Goen II
<p>Stanley V. Goen II, of Seymour, passed away at his home on July 30, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was 71 years old. </p><p>Stanley entered this life on April 26, 1953, in Bedford, Indiana. He was the firstborn son to Stanley V and Patricia J. (Henke) Goen. Stanley grew up in Medora and graduated from Medora Community Schools. After graduation, Stanley enlisted in the US Air Force. After returning home from his duties, he was united in marriage to Pearl (Sweany) Goen on June 18, 1977. This union of 47 years was blessed with four children, Jacob, Tamica, Angela, and Stanley III. </p><p>He was a devoted husband, loving father, and best Papaw ever. Stanley went into the labor force after high school, starting at the Medora Plastics Factory. He left the plastics factory and went into the automotive industry for a brief time. He then went to work at Aisin. Where he worked as a mechanic, and later a team leader. He retired after 20 years at Aisin. In his spare time, he was either fishing or tinkering on computers. </p><p>Stanley is survived by his wife Pearl Goen of Seymour, children Jacob Goen and his wife Kathy of Seymour, Tamica Deuser and her husband Eric of Seymour, Angela Jones and her husband Sam of Bloomington, and Stanely III and his wife Kelly of Ohio, five grandchildren, Kirsten Deuser and her husband Jared Myers, Sarenity Deuser, Kairi Alaina Deuser, Sativa Jones and Alyssa Jones, two brothers Mark Goen of Medora, and Jerry Goen and his wife Tracey of Medora, and sister Donna Middleton and her husband Phillip of Seymour. </p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Charlottie Brooks and a grandson Brandon Powers. </p><p>Funeral service will be conducted at Hague Funeral Home of Medora on Monday August 5, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Chris Brooks officiating. </p><p>Visitation will be on Monday August 5, 2024, from 12 noon until time of the service at 2:00 pm </p><p> A remembrance fund has been set up in Stanley’s name through Hague Funeral Home of Medora </p>April 26, 1953 - July 30, 202404/26/195307/30/2024
