<p>Sharon Lou (Green) Myers, 76, of Jacksonville, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 27th, 2024. Born on February 5, 1948, in Harris County, Texas, to the late Charles Mark and Dorothy Daisy Lyles Green, Sharon lived a very caring, loving and dedicated life.</p><p><br></p><p>Sharon's life was characterized by her profound dedication to caring for others. She pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and specialized in the burn unit, where she devoted herself to caring for children with special needs.</p><p><br></p><p>A devoted military wife and mother, Sharon stood by her husband of 52 years, Master Gunnery Sergeant Daniel Wayne Myers, through countless challenges and triumphs.</p><p><br></p><p>Sharon had a deep love for traveling, with New Mexico holding a special place in her heart. She found joy in books, old movies, and trivia, often challenging her family and those around her. Her presence brought warmth and light to every room, and her love for the people in her life knew no bounds.</p><p>Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Mark Green and Dorothy Daisy Green, her beloved children; Tom, Danny, and Rachel, her niece Donna, nephew Brandon, and best friend Tee Heysel.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel; her siblings, Glenda, Rhonda, Master Tech Sergeant Ronnie; her daughter-in-law Heidi Walton; Jeana (Greg Cribb); Mike Myers; her grandchildren, Jessica, Melissa, Christina, Steven, Jenica; and her great grandchildren, Cara, Zoey, and Tristan. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will carry her spirit with them always.</p><p><br></p><p>Sharon lived and loved every moment, and her legacy will continue through the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her caring nature and dedication to her family and profession have left a lasting impression that will never be forgotten.</p><p><br></p><p>There are no services scheduled at this time.</p><p><br></p><p>Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville is honored to serve Sharon's family.</p>February 5, 1948 - July 27, 202402/05/194807/27/2024
