<p>Nellie G. Sanders, 93, of Sullivan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, July 18, 2024 at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington. She was born on October 24, 1930, in Tyner, Kentucky, to the late Henry and Martha (Lucas) Burris.&nbsp; </p><p>Nellie was a hard worker who valued her faith and family. She was special, and had a knack for making those around her feel even more special. She loved her husband of nearly 70 years, Jesse Sanders, and supported him through ministry work at many churches including Triangle Baptist Church in Chippewa Lake, Rochester, Sullivan and several others. She loved gardening, and worked many places, including PFI, for 20 years.&nbsp; </p><p>Left to cherish her memory are her children, Nita (Jon) Kessler of Celina, Caroline Sue Blankenship of Medina, and Dee Sanders of Wellington, 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.&nbsp; </p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Burris, husband, Jesse Sanders, son, Darrell Sanders, and siblings, Edith, Clara, William, Harvey, Ralph, Ethel, Helen, Mattie, Laura, Ida, and great grandson Christian. </p><p>Her visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. (noon) at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Burial will follow in Sullivan Southview Cemetery. Pastor Bill Kopas will officiate the services.
