Charles Norman Griffith
<p>Charles Norman Griffith, 81, of Darlington, MD, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 15, 2024. He was born in Elkton, MD, to his late parents, Charles I. and Nora E. (Glackin) Griffith. His loving wife of 59 years, Wanda Mae (Poole) Griffith, survives at home. </p><p><br></p><p>Charles owned and operated his own trucking company for 51 years. In his spare time, Charles cherished all the time he spent with his family, especially being able to spoil his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed restoring tractors and trucks with his family. He could be found displaying his restoration work in local parades and at Olde Tyme Days in Fawn Grove, PA.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his loving Wanda at home, Charles is survived by his children; George Ivan Griffith and his wife Debra, of Fawn Grove, PA, Charles Alan Griffith and his wife Stacey, of Conowingo, MD, Janice Virginia Roddam and her husband Cliff, of Darlington, MD and his daughter-in-law, Tina D. Griffith, of Delta, PA. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Justin Griffith, Cody Griffith and his wife Jess, Clifton Roddam and his wife Renee, Jonathan Griffith, Amber Griffith, Ryan Roddam, Aaron Roddam, Cyle Griffith, Christian Griffith, Grace Griffith, Conner Griffith and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Charlotte Neeper, George Griffith, Wilma Vaught and Bonita Hawley. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his son, Clayton Andrew Griffith and his brother, Kenneth Griffith. </p><p><br></p><p>Viewings will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. The funeral service will begin in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 11:00 am. Pastor Jane McCleary of Mt. Nebo Church of Delta will officiate. Interment will be held immediately following the funeral service in Mt.
