<p>Erma Jo Reedy Lane Fielden passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024. She was born on December 30, 1934, to Emory and Mary Ethel Reedy. Erma Jo was preceded in death by her first husband, Ken Lane, second husband, Marvel Fielden, and granddaughter, Katie. She is survived by the blended Lane/Fielden families, children, Billy Lane (Cathy), Steve Lane (Sue), Beth Lane, Becky Fielden, Joe Fielden (Suzanne), and Georgie Fielden; grandchildren, Will Lane (Allie), Maddy Armstrong (Chris), Joe Lane (Ellie), Libby Dullen (Eric), Jack Lane, Chris Dion (Johnna), Conner Lane, Taylor Early (D’Anne), Beth Casto, Sarah Smith (Brian), Abigail Marshall (Chris); and great grandchildren, Ellie, Hunter, Caden, Hadley, Tilley, Logan, Holden, Dane, Celia, Grace, Harper, Elliana, and Aspen.</p><p><br></p><p>Erma Jo loved and took great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She wanted to be known first as a servant of our Lord and second as a teacher. She loved travel and was kind to all she met. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lakewood Manor Assisted Living and Healthcare, as well as the compassionate folks of At Home Hospice. They are all saints and Erma Jo loved them like family.</p><p><br></p><p>Erma Jo’s funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 22, at Derbyshire Baptist Church, 8800 Derbyshire Road, with a reception at Church immediately following the service. Her Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23 at Moore’s Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, 2300 Runnymede Road, Elberon, VA 23846 (Surry County).</p><p><br></p><p>The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Derbyshire Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.</p><p><br></p>December 30, 1934 - July 10, 202412/30/193407/10/2024
