<p>Larry Wayne Spires, 76, of Florence, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family and friends. Larry was a retired truck driver. He was a member of American Legion Post 11 and a member of VFW Post 5140. Larry was a veteran having served in Vietnam. Larry was a member of Lee Heights Baptist Church. </p><p>A graveside service will be Friday, July 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Bro. Chris Aday. </p><p>Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Gareld and Nancy Spires. </p><p>He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Spires; daughter, Brandy Jones (Chris), Florence; brothers, Jimmy Spires, Florence and Tim Spires, Wetumpka, AL; sister, Brenda Harris, Statesville, NC; grandchildren, Braxton Jones and Eli Jones, Florence. </p><p>The family wants to say a special thanks to his caregivers: Brittney, Jeanie, Sandy, Jackie, and Juanita. </p><p>Pallbearers will be family and friends. </p>May 19, 1948 - July 8, 202405/19/194807/08/2024
