<p>Annie Mae Brown (Mobley), affectionately known as Mother Brown, laid her crown at the Lord’s feet on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on September 16, 1931, in Aiken, South Carolina, she was a beacon of love and the matriarch of her family. </p><p>Annie Mae was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life Mr. Willie James Brown for sixty-two years. Together they raised their beautiful children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great children. Together they expressed the importance of family getting along and loving each other. </p><p>Mother Brown dedicated her life to her family and community, embodying the role of a housewife with unmatched devotion and grace. She found joy in cooking, cleaning, and feeding the community, always ensuring that no one was left hungry or alone. Her porch was a gathering place for love and laughter, where she enjoyed playing spades and creating lasting memories with her family. A lover of music, she was also a regular at quartet concerts, celebrating the art form she adored. </p><p>A devout member of the Renewed Life Ministries, Mother Brown worshipped under the leadership of her son, Pastor Larry C. Brown, Sr. Her faith was evident in her actions and the unconditional love she showed to everyone around her. </p><p>Mother Brown was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie James Brown; her children, James Brown, Charlie Brown, and Anthony Brown; her parents, Charlie Mobley and Josie Mae Sapp; her brothers, Ronnie L. Mobley and Leon Sapp; and her daughter-in-law, Beverly Brown. </p><p>Annie Mae leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will forever be cherished by her surviving children, Pastor Larry C. Brown, Sr. (Barbara), Vernon Brown (Sandra), Bruce Brown, Sr. (Jamie), Darryl Brown (Deborah), Co-Pastor Michelle Hughes (Ralph), and Debra Williams. She will also be deeply missed by her daughter-in-love, Harriett Brown; grandchildren, James Jr., Rhonda, Charles (Ann), ShaRonda (Mike), TaShanda (Sean), Larry Jr., Kimberly, Shenlea (James), Vashaun, Anthony (Ceira), Lashay (Curtis), Darrion (Nae), Latoya, Bruce Jr., Brittany, Brianna, Keisha, Keira, Ayana, Nakisha, Stephanie, Monica, Ashlea, Tyrone Jr., and Marcus; a host of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-love, Sarah Mobley; special family, Deborah Brown, the Spratling Family, the Renewed Life Ministries Church Family, the Southside Community, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends. </p><p>Mother Brown was not only the heart of her family but also a pillar in her community, leaving behind countless memories etched in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of love, service, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her. </p><p>Sarah L. Carter's Funeral Home Southside is serving the Family. </p>
